Agri Data Chain is currently involved in a Blockchain Pilot Project for NWK Limited. It was agreed to extend the project to incorporate a much wider spectrum of functionality that will benefit more role players, from Emerging Farmers, Mentors & Trainers, Suppliers, Financiers and Insurers, market agents and agri processors, including retailers.

Agri Data Chain is driving a programme to design and build an empowerment platform for Emerging Farmers. The primary focus initially will be on empowering Emerging Farmers and linking various role players to provide services to them. It is widely recognized that these farmers don’t always have access to mentorship and training, access to finance, bargaining power with suppliers or access to markets.

There are many disparate initiatives that focus on including Emerging Farmers into the main stream value chain. The purpose of this programme is to coordinate and align efforts to gather relevant data to ultimately design and build a mutually beneficial platform which will ensure total inclusivity and transparency for all farmers and value chain participants.
